Graduation Photo Collage Maker - 13 Free Templates
Pi7 turns your graduation photos into one finished picture, from a single cap-and-gown portrait to a 12-photo run through every school year. Thirteen layouts come pre-built with backgrounds, borders and editable text. Nothing uploads to a server, and the saved image carries no watermark.

The thirteen layouts cover every photo count from 1 to 12, so you pick by how many pictures you actually have. Then and Now holds two: the first-day-of-school photo beside the cap-and-gown one. School Journey holds twelve, one per school year, with grade labels you can retype. Cap Toss fans seven photos in an arc, the way caps look mid-air.
Every template arrives finished rather than empty. Backgrounds, borders, laurels and sample wording are already placed, so the editor opens on a design instead of a blank grid. The year reads 2026 everywhere and you can change it in one tap, and the names, grade labels and closing lines are editable too.

What Makes a Graduation Collage Worth Keeping
A single cap-and-gown portrait records the day. A collage records the distance travelled to get there, which is why the Then and Now layout tends to land hardest with parents. Put the gap-toothed first-day photo next to the graduate and the whole span reads at a glance. School Journey does the same thing across twelve frames instead of two.
If the graduation party is really a family gathering, a family photo collage may suit the wall better. Want a plain twelve-square grid with no timeline or labels? The 12 photo collage layouts give you that. And for something outside these thirteen, the montage maker opens the full template library.
Three Steps to Your Graduation Collage
From picking a layout to saving the file takes a few minutes.
Pick the layout
Choose by photo count. Two photos for Then and Now, seven for Cap Toss, twelve for School Journey.
Add photos and names
Tap each empty slot to load a photo, then drag to reorder or pinch to crop. Tap any text to retype it, including the class year, the grade labels and the names under yearbook portraits.
Save or print
Pick a size from the top bar and download as PNG or JPG. The scale slider goes to 4x, which is what you want for a party poster.
When to Use a Graduation Photo Collage
These are the moments people reach for one.
Printing a Graduation Collage for the Party
For anything you intend to frame or pin up, start from the Print 4x6 preset in the size bar. It sets the canvas to 1200x1800 pixels. That works out to exactly 300 DPI on a 4x6 inch print, the density photo labs ask for.
That preset is portrait, so if your layout reads better wide, tap Rotate Canvas and it flips to 1800x1200 with everything still in place. For a larger party poster, leave the canvas where it is and push the export scale slider to 4x. That multiplies the saved pixels without changing the design.
Your Graduation Photos Stay On Your Device
No graduation photo you load here is ever sent anywhere. Pi7 reads the files straight off your phone or computer and draws the collage with JavaScript inside the browser tab. There is no upload step at any point.
Plenty of collage sites push your files to a server to process them, which leaves you trusting a deletion policy you cannot check. There is nothing to delete here. Test it yourself: load the page, switch the phone to airplane mode, and the editor keeps working exactly the same.
Free, No Signup, No Watermark
There is no account to create and no email to hand over. Open the page, build the collage, save the file.
Nothing is capped per day, no watermark is stamped on the result, and it behaves the same on iPhone, Android and desktop.
Graduation Photo Collage Questions
Which template suits a graduation photo collage best?
It depends on your photo count. With two photos, Then and Now pairs the first-day shot with the graduation shot. With a group, Yearbook holds eight portraits and puts an editable name under each. For the full school run, School Journey lays out twelve photos from kindergarten to graduation.
Can I change the class year from 2026?
Yes. The year appears as editable text on every template, so tap it and type 2025, 2027 or whatever applies. The same goes for names, grade labels and the closing lines, and you can restyle any of it with 15 fonts and 12 colours.
Will it print well enough for a graduation party poster?
Yes. The Print 4x6 preset gives a 1200x1800 canvas, which is a genuine 300 DPI at 4x6 inches. Push the export scale to 4x and the saved file gets four times larger in each direction, which covers a poster-size print.
Do my graduation photos get uploaded?
No. They stay on your device the whole time. The collage is built inside your browser and nothing travels to a server.
